Yes, you are allowed to bring your child’s favourite snacks for after the surgery, along with their favourite toy, book, and a bottle or drink.

Clothing and Essentials

Please pack a spare change of clothes and nappies.

Fasting Instructions

– For morning surgery: No food or drink (including water) after midnight.
– For afternoon surgery: No food or drink (including water) after 7 AM.

How Long Am I Allowed to Stay With My Child?

Parents are welcome to stay at their child’s side right up until anaesthesia takes place, but please discuss this with the anaesthetist ahead of time.

When Will I See My Child After Surgery?

In most cases, you’ll be invited to join your child in the recovery area.
