At Oasis Surgical, we can enhance eyesight and alleviate eye discomfort using a wide range of laser eye surgery techniques. These corrective surgeries can help to minimise or eliminate the need for reading glasses, reshape the cornea for better vision, correct astigmatisms, farsightedness or nearsightedness. Some technieus that we use include:
Presbyond Surgery

  • SMILE Pro Laser Surgery
  • LASIK Laser Surgery
  • PRK Eye Surgery

Cataract Surgery

Cataracts are very common, and while they are not dangerous, they can impair your vision and cause cloudy eyesight. Fortunately, cataract surgery is very simple and quick. The cloudy lens is replaced with an artificial lens that allows for clear eyesight.

  • Performed as a day case procedure
  • The procedure usually only takes 30 minutes
  • Expect to be at the facility for around 2 hours.
  • Usually performed under local anaesthetic or topical anaesthetic

Retinal Surgery

Also called vitreoretinal surgery, there are many different types of retinal treatments and procedures. One of the most common procedures involves a vitrectomy, after which the hole in the retina is sealed with a laser. This procedure is often used to treat retinal detachment.

  • Usually performed under local anaesthetic.
  • Expect to be at our facility for approximately 2-3 hours.

Squint Surgery

Squint surgery is a popular surgery that is used to realign the position of the eyes and achieve binocularity, which means that the eyes are working together and not separately.

While this surgery is most commonly performed for children between the ages of 6 months and six years, squint surgery is available for adults once the squint is stabilised.
  • Performed under general anaesthesia
  • It can be performed under local anaesthesia in adults
  • You’ll spend around 2 or 3 hours at Oasis Surgical

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is performed so that the appearance of the eyes is rejuvenated and enhanced. This is achieved by removing excess skin and/or fat from the upper or lower eyelids. Here at Oasis surgical, we perform both upper blepharoplasty and lower blepharoplasty.

  • Procedures usually take between 60 to 90 minutes.
  • The majority of cases are done using local anaesthetic.
  • Intravenous sedation or general anaesthetic is an option in some cases.
  • Preparation and recovery times mean that you’ll spend around 2-3 hours at our facility.

Corneal Surgery

Some of the most common corneal surgery procedures include collagen cross-linking, corneal transplants, and corneal implants. Corneal surgery is most commonly performed to treat a condition called keratoconus.

  • Collagen cross-linking and implants- topical anaesthesia is used, and you spend around 2 hours at our facility in total.
  • Corneal transplant/graft- general anaesthesia is used, and you will spend around 3 hours at our facility in total.

Refractive Surgery

Refractive surgery is the preferred treatment for reducing and eliminating eye-focusing issues. This can, in turn, minimise the need for contact lenses and glasses. Procedures that fall under the category of refractive surgery include implantable contact lenses, laser eye surgery, and the Kamra procedure, which assists in restoring reading vision.
